35 Years, Day 250

Today I talked about genres in the library and then came home and did yoga. Pretty standard day! I need to find a new book to read though. And I think I strained my right hamstring again doing a splits stretching routine.

Energy Checklist

◊ I got enough sleep last night. Yes.
◊ I energized with my morning stretch (detailed in book). Yes.
◊ I ate breakfast. Shredded Wheat and Raisin Bran mixed together, along with coffee and milk.
◊ I drank eight glasses of water. I’m at five cups of liquid but I have a thermos of water next to me. I just chugged some water and now I’m at six, ha ha.
◊ I got outside for some fresh air and sunshine. Recess with the kiddos! I really enjoy being out with them at recess each day. I did yoga with a group of third graders; I’ve been teaching them animals poses like downward dog, cat, cow, eagle, and so on.
◊ If I caught myself in a negative thought, I turned it positive. Yes for the most part.
◊ I connected with someone. Hmm… the fourth grade teacher during recess duty.
◊ I did something fun or relaxing, just for me. Hmm…. I’m going to watch a few youtube videos on beginner aerial tricks.
◊ I worked out for thirty minutes or more. Just the evening yoga; it was yoga for hip opening and getting your splits; I think the first time I did that video I tried a little too hard to get my splits with my right leg forward (I am nearly there), and pulled my right hamstring too far. It’s taking it’s time healing completely and I think I tweaked it a little again tonight.
◊ I only went on the internet between six to eight PM: I wasn’t too bad today. I vegged out a little after school but then did other stuff. Now I’m blogging late but this plus some youtube should be maybe 45 minutes.
◊ I did my bedtime stretch (detailed in book.) I did last night, and will do tonight!
