35 Years, Day 230

Crow PoseToday I realized that I can kinda sorta to the crow pose! I mean I’m no expert but I watched a video on Amazon Prime and I think I have the basic mechanics of it… now its about muscle memory and developing stronger core muscles to hold myself up better and more stable. Today was the first day that I felt like I truly “held” the pose, for all of maybe two seconds. But it’s a start!

Energy Checklist

◊ I got enough sleep last night. Nope, tossed and turned a lot. I think I have a ragweed issue, plus smoke haze issue? I dunno my throat is scratchy and my eyes are burning all the time. I never had allergies til I moved to North Dakota. Is it North Dakota or is it that I moved here at 31 and now I’m “getting older?” Hmm.
◊ I energized with my morning stretch (detailed in book). Yes.
◊ I ate breakfast. Shredded Wheat and Raisin Bran mixed together, along with a thermos of coffee and milk.
◊ I drank eight glasses of water. Let’s see. I drank the thermos of  coffee/milk plus a thermos of water on the way to, and at yoga. Then a glass of water at lunch… and some chocolate milk at home. Six glasses of liquid so far.
◊ I got outside for some fresh air and sunshine. Not unless you count running errands this afternoon. Tomorrow… yoga in the park!
◊ If I caught myself in a negative thought, I turned it positive. Hmmm…. my hubby and I were both in grouchy moods today. I think we’ve been excited about our plans to move to Canada next year but now reality is settling in that we agreed to one more school year here first. Gotta keep up some routines like my yoga and the state park so we don’t feel “cooped up” and “waiting for the next” for the next nine months.
◊ I connected with someone. I ate at a Mexican restaurant today where the waitstaff all speaks Spanish as a first language; I tried very hard to converse with my waitress in Spanish; she seemed happy to try with me. I really like practicing what I know; unfortunately I am a lot better at thinking about how to say something, then I am at understanding what is being said back to me. It’s embarrassing! Cuando yo escucho una conversacion, yo entiendo muchas palabras pero no la conversacion todas?
◊ I did something fun or relaxing, just for me. Aerial yoga. I love it so much!
◊ I worked out for thirty minutes or more. Aerial yoga for an hour and my yoga program on Amazon Prime for half an hour.
◊ I only went on the internet between six to eight PM: When I got home from Aerial Yoga I got sucked into my phone internet for like 45 minutes, it was ridiculous. But, other then that I did okay. Finished my book! I’ve been finishing a book every three days lately.
◊ I did my bedtime stretch (detailed in book.) I did last night and will do tonight!
