Today was the first day back at school. The next four days are teacher work days. I spent a lot of time carting books around the library because we were going to move schools, so I packed up all the books I planned to take last May, but now we’re not moving right away, so I’m moving all the stuff I had planned to leave behind to the back of the library, and unpacking boxes of newer books in the front! I then plan to hang fabric over the shelves of old books that I don’t want kids to browse, to keep it separate. Eventually all that stuff will need to be in book sales, or donated, or, horrors, thrown away? But really, a lot of it is twenty plus years old with yellowed pages and dated covers. I’m sure somebody, somewhere would get a kick out of a lot of those books, but, not the twelve-year-olds at our school! I’m also not sure what is going to happen with the old school and nobody seems concerned about me leaving a bunch of old books in it when we leave, so perhaps they will sit there for another 200 years and then be “discovered” as a wonderful library time capsule!
◊ I got enough sleep last night. No, my throat was scratchy from smoke haze. We are not even in the worst of it! We are in the “moderate” air quality right now. Yet the sun is a little ball through the haze!
◊ I energized with my morning stretch (detailed in book). Yes.
◊ I ate breakfast. Shredded Wheat and Raisin Bran mixed together, along with a thermos of coffee and milk that went to school, and apple juice at school. I could eat breakfast at school, but their breakfast is pretty calorie laden and I’d rather stick to my routine.
◊ I drank eight glasses of water. Three glasses of water, a glass of apple juice, and two cups of coffee/milk… so six glasses. I’m still thirsty.
◊ I got outside for some fresh air and sunshine. My hubby and I went for a walk this evening but it wasn’t sunny! I got a picture of this…. is it a millipede? Crossing the gravel road. It looked like an inch of fuzzy pipe cleaner carrying on its business!
◊ If I caught myself in a negative thought, I turned it positive. Yes mostly.
◊ I connected with someone. Lots of people at school! The new science teacher seems really nice.
◊ I did something fun or relaxing, just for me. I’m going to read more of the book I started yesterday “The Kiss Quotient,” a romance novel about a woman on the autism spectrum that hires a male escort to teach her about sex. I know it sounds ridiculous, but it’s actually really good, lol!
◊ I worked out for thirty minutes or more. I spent about four hours at school moving books around by myself, so yes!
◊ I only went on the internet between six to eight PM: I wasn’t on the internet at all, even checking my phone, at school today. I did veg out from 4:30 to 5:30 and then I’m spending about 45 minutes typing up this blog and checking facebook/good reads real quick!
◊ I did my bedtime stretch (detailed in book.) I did last night and will do tonight!
