35 Years, Day 227

Tomorrow is the first day back in the school library! I just dyed the grays coming in by my side burn area, and tried on a bunch of outfits for the new year… do all girls/women do this? It’s a school so nothing can be too short… also my torso shouldn’t inadvertently show (which I struggle with some times because I have a long torso so low waisted pants paired with many normal shirts are a no go). I wind up wearing leggings with every dress and lots of layers. Plus I can’t do a cartwheel at recess without leggings on under my dress, now can I? Must meet all criteria: 1) Is it stylish? 2) Is it comfortable? 3) Can I do a cartwheel in it?

Energy Checklist

◊ I got enough sleep last night. Yes. But still tossed and turned. I have not had a “great” sleep in awhile. I am still trying to figure out the perfect “night-time routine.”
◊ I energized with my morning stretch (detailed in book). Yes.
◊ I ate breakfast. Shredded Wheat and Raisin Bran mixed together, along with coffee, milk and sugar.
◊ I drank eight glasses of water. I drank 6 glasses of water today and a cup of coffee so pretty good! My throat was constantly parched today; I think it is irritated by the fire smoke that has spread all over the country.
◊ I got outside for some fresh air and sunshine. Not really. An after school walk tomorrow!
◊ If I caught myself in a negative thought, I turned it positive. Yes mostly.
◊ I connected with someone. I talked to my Mom.
◊ I did something fun or relaxing, just for me. Aerial Yoga! And I finished the book, “Good Luck With That.” I said a lot about it on my review in Goodreads. Basically I didn’t think it was a perfect book, but it was a pretty good book and I really applaud the effort of the author to write contemporary romance about three women that struggle with body image, self acceptance and being (or imagining) that they are fat.
◊ I worked out for thirty minutes or more. Yes, Aerial Yoga was about an hour.
◊ I only went on the internet between six to eight PM: Checked my phone multiple times but did not “mindlessly surf” much today.
◊ I did my bedtime stretch (detailed in book.) I did last night and will do tonight!
