35 Years, Day 224

Today was just a blah day. But I’m committed to posting every day. So here goes!

Energy Checklist

◊ I got enough sleep last night. Nope, tossed and turned some more. It’s been a heat wave and too hot in our bedroom!
◊ I energized with my morning stretch (detailed in book). No, I forgot.
◊ I ate breakfast. Shredded Wheat and Raisin Bran mixed together, along with coffee, milk and sugar.
◊ I drank eight glasses of water. No. Maybe four glasses of liquid?
◊ I got outside for some fresh air and sunshine. I was outside for about half an hour but it was over 100 degrees. Should have gone to the pool!!
◊ If I caught myself in a negative thought, I turned it positive. Nope, was blah and irritable and have been worrying about the start of the school year and about what might go wrong in moving to Canada next summer.
◊ I connected with someone. Not really anybody… my hubby was gone most of the day and then we did our own thing. He did make me tea?
◊ I did something fun or relaxing, just for me. Well, I did yoga. And read part of a People magazine.
◊ I worked out for thirty minutes or more. Forty five minutes of yoga and fifteen minutes of walking.
◊ I only went on the internet between six to eight PM: I know I said I would try really hard today to stick to this but I didn’t set myself up for success. Had no plans to go anywhere, no books from the library to read, and it was too hot to spend much time outside…. tomorrow the heat is supposed to break, my hubby and I already have plans to go to a state park in the morning, and I have two books waiting for me at the library. So onward and upwards tomorrow!!
◊ I did my bedtime stretch (detailed in book.) I did last night and will do shortly. Tomorrow will be a better day, right? This was really a day that highlighted, that just because you have no plans and no commitments… doesn’t mean you will have the best day. Routines and eating right and getting enough water and making actual plans for the day help so much!!
