35 Years, Day 219

Today was a hot day and a break between two mini-vacations. I went to the local community Swimmingswimming pool, and got some more yoga on. It was a good day! The lifeguard took this photo of me doing a dive; I like that it could be 1950 just as easily as 2018. We’re going to Canada for a few days tomorrow, and I already found a studio that does aerial acrobatics, so I’m getting my own private lesson to learn some more tricks. Neat!

Energy Checklist
◊ I got enough sleep last night. Yes, I got about 10 hours of sleep!! I started a new book, did my stretches, did my worry journal, and took some diphenhyramine. It all combined seemed to work into a restful night, all though also, I think my body just needed the sleep.
◊ I energized with my morning stretch (detailed in book). Yes
◊ I ate breakfast. Shredded wheat and raisin bran mixed together, with a banana sliced on top, along with coffee with some milk and chocolate ovaltine in it.
◊ I drank eight glasses of water. I’ve got my thermos with me; I think I’m at three glasses of water, one cup of coffee, and 12 ounces of diet rootbeer. Still working on this.
◊ I got outside for some fresh air and sunshine. Yes, I went to the pool. Sometimes I feel weird going to the pool to tan, swim, and jump off the diving board, because I’m not going there with kids. Do people think I’m weird? Why don’t more adults like going to the pool and taking part in activities?
◊ If I caught myself in a negative thought, I turned it positive. I’m making it my homework to read up on this section of Ms. Austin’s book. I will report back tomorrow with my findings.
◊ I connected with someone. Just my hubby! And my cats?
◊ I did something fun or relaxing, just for me. The pool was fun.
Swimming 2◊ I worked out for thirty minutes or more. Yes, I didn’t get a whole lot of exercise at the pool; mostly I lounged around reading a magazine. (Here’s anther picture that could be 1950 or 2018, your pick!) But I did do about an hour of yoga; one episode focused on strengthening and stretching out the back for wheel pose, and the other was faster paced for weight loss and getting your heart rate up. I try not to focus on my weight, but I’ve actually gained a pound or two since starting all this yoga for the last few months. I don’t like to obsess, and assume I’m gaining muscle.
◊ I only went on the internet between six to eight PM: No. I will be back on the road tomorrow, so another opportunity to disengage. I did delete the facebook ap from my phone so I no longer get pings. I should do that for my email too because ninety percent of the time its junk mail anyway.
◊ I did my bedtime stretch (detailed in book.) I did last night and will do tonight!
