Two more weeks til back-to-school for the adults! (Students start a week later.) Two more weeks to sort out my difficulty in sleeping issues!
◊ I got enough sleep last night. Not really. It was back to not being able to fall asleep, even though I did my worry journal and my stretches. Then once I was asleep I was having tons more dreams about missing or searching for things – this time I kept running to catch a plane flight and kept missing it. I didn’t have any more Excedrin P.M. to take last night, which had worked the previous night. Today I went to town and bought some over-the-counter sleeping pills. I’m going to take them for a week and then do every other night the week after that.
◊ I energized with my morning stretch (detailed in book). Yes
◊ I ate breakfast. Oh no!! I ran out of Raisin Bran. Otherwise the usual Wheat-bix and coffee. I should add half a banana or berries at least!
◊ I drank eight glasses of water. I’m about in the same boat as yesterday; counting all liquid, including finishing my trusty thermos, I’ll be at seven cups. Once I’m at eight cups including all liquid, I’ll start shooting for eight cups of just water!
◊ I got outside for some fresh air and sunshine. Yes, my hubby and I his best friend went hiking along the lake near here. The above picture features an inlet.
◊ If I caught myself in a negative thought, I turned it positive. Somewhat. Lately I’ve been working to remember not to worry about what I can’t change or about things that most likely won’t happen. I have put a lot of time into worrying about things that might happen but probably won’t!
◊ I connected with someone. A few people today! The neighbor was selling Indian Tacos, and my husband’s best friend came up to visit. This was a lot of action for us in one day, ha ha.
◊ I did something fun or relaxing, just for me. Finished my Kristan Higgins novel. No yoga! But aerial yoga is again tomorrow!
◊ I worked out for thirty minutes or more. The walk at the lake took 45 minutes. I was thinking about doing yoga now, but its 8:40 and I don’t want to get revved up and then not be able to sleep, AGAIN! Maybe a few “splits training” stretches before I wind down.
◊ I only went on the internet between six to eight PM: This morning I was in an internet hole for like two hours before I got going and went to town. Totally could have done a morning yoga routine or something. After that I wasn’t too bad.
◊ I did my bedtime stretch (detailed in book.) I did it last night and will do before bed tonight. Wish me luck on sleeping better!
