Day 14


Today was a good day. I had a healthy breakfast of Total with blueberries, and then my husband and I went to a state park first thing in the morning. I went walking and he went jogging. I had string cheese and almonds as a snack. I also had a baked potato for lunch with some avocado on it. I didn’t really have dinner? I had a peanut butter and honey rollup and had some crackers with dip. I think I might eat a slice of pizza yet. Also I took my prenatal vitamins. I’m trying to do better with eating now that I know I’m pregnant, but I really don’t know how to cook!

It still doesn’t seem real that I’m pregnant, but I’m trying to let it sink in. Since I took the pregnancy test a day after my missed period, I’m still only three days late right now. I’m perhaps overly concerned about a possible miscarriage but am trying to breath in and out and be calm. I’m looking forward to talking with my doctor tomorrow!

During the Day: Energy Checklist
◊ I got enough sleep last night. Yes. I slept pretty soundly. I’m worried about tonight because I often have trouble getting two good nights of sleep in a row!
◊ I energized with my morning stretch (detailed in book). Done
◊ I ate breakfast. Done; Total with blueberries and milk, with a little bit of coffee and a lot of milk and sugar.
◊ I drank eight glasses of water. I think I did drink this today. I’ve been so much better about having my water bottle handy since I started this blog. Just need to remember to take it to school tomorrow!
◊ I got outside for some fresh air and sunshine. I walked in the State Park and also we sat outside with our two cats on our harnesses.
◊ I did my afternoon Energy Shot stretch (detailed in book). Not done today. While try and remember to do it as a break from my desk tomorrow.
◊ If I caught myself slouching or slumping, I corrected my posture. Remembered as I typed this.
◊ If I caught myself in a negative thought, I turned it positive. I think I was pretty calm today, considering.
◊ I connected with someone. Just my husband today!
◊ I did something fun or relaxing, just for me. I read some of Sherman Alexie’s new book, and tried on some new clothes from Old Navy.
◊ I worked out for thirty minutes or more. Yes, I walked at the park for about 40 minutes, and also I did one of Jack Lalanne’s (super old school) workout videos and also one of Denise Austin’s twelve minute stretching routines.
◊ I only went on the internet from six to eight PM: Not really. Will try and start this tomorrow; tomorrow my online grad school classes start and I plan to work on them from 6 – 8 PM as needed.
◊ I did my bedtime stretch (detailed in book.) To be done this evening about ten p.m.
