It’s day eleven!
Today I was not very good about following the rules. I didn’t have fruit for the breakfast smoothie, I didn’t have my water bottle for drinking water at school, it was the first day with kids at the school so it was chaotic… plus I was there til seven because there was a back-to-school night.
For this day, Denise said it was “get over carb phobia” day. That as long as we are eating the right, complex carbs, not simple carbs with no nutrients or sugars, we are doing good and that our bodies need carbs.
For breakfast, she told me to have a banana/almond milk smoothie. But I didn’t have either ingredients, I need to get to the store tomorrow after school to get the rest of the ingredients. She said to stop at the grocery store today and pick up healthy carbs; I will do that tomorrow. I live twenty miles from the nearest grocery store. I also didn’t have the hummus/rice cake snack because I didn’t pack it and was at school til 7. Maybe I will add a “day 15” on to Denise’s plan, and redo this day on Day 15!!

When you Wake Up: Morning Energy Questions
◊ What will I look forward to today? Finishing my book when I get home from work. (Boo hoo! This is a good one and I will need to find a new one for tomorrow).
◊ What pleasure will I add to my day? Walking after school.
◊ How will I connect to someone today? I will chat with the counselor for a bit, he’s a good guy.
During the Day: Energy Checklist
◊ I got enough sleep last night. Yes, but I still haven’t been falling asleep quickly.
◊ I energized with my morning stretch (detailed in book). Done
◊ I ate breakfast. Done, although not the prescribed breakfast.
◊ I drank eight glasses of water. I think I had about six glasses again today. I keep forgetting to take my water bottle along with my coffee in the morning.
◊ I got outside for some fresh air and sunshine. I manned the bouncy house outside at the back-to-school night.
◊ I did my afternoon Energy Shot stretch (detailed in book). Will do with the evening stretch.
◊ If I caught myself slouching or slumping, I corrected my posture. Remembered as I typed this. I think I sit pretty straight in my chair at school.
◊ If I caught myself in a negative thought, I turned it positive. Yes for the most part.
◊ I connected with someone. Yes, lots of people at school. I did sit with the Counselor at lunch.
◊ I did something fun or relaxing, just for me. Not today but I do plan to finish my book tonight!
◊ I worked out for thirty minutes or more. I’m counting manning the bouncy house as my exercise! I was on my feet controlling chaos for an hour and a half!
◊ I only went on the internet from six to eight PM: Except for school related things, yes. There was no time!
◊ I did my bedtime stretch (detailed in book.) To be done this evening about ten p.m.
Before Bed: Evening Energy Questions
◊ Did I live the promises of my Morning Energy Questions? I didn’t get the walk after school in.
◊ What fired me up today, and why? School stuff felt good. Being helpful felt good.
◊ What tired me out today, and why? It was an extra long day. Tomorrow is TGIF!
