Day 8

Greetings! This blog post also needs to be short as I have run over my internet time; on the plus side, I am about finished with my “where have I been, what have I been doing since age 18” project. Yay!

Today, Denise talked about finding serenity and peace every day. She recommended reciting the serenity prayer, or finding another Mantra. Perhaps I should rethink “In the End, it doesn’t even matter.” It’s a bit on the depressive side? I’ll think of another, but it needs to resonate with me.

Today Denise said to have cheese toast for breakfast, along with an apple. She said if I felt anxious to count to ten slowly while stretching. This does work! She said to have a snack of a half cup of yogurt and a banana, which I did, after school.

She said to turn to nature for serenity this evening; I went for a walk along the track again. I’ll keep doing this til it gets too cold out!

When you Wake Up: Morning Energy Questions
◊ What will I look forward to today? 
Seeing coworkers I haven’t seen in a long time.  
◊ What pleasure will I add to my day? 
Walking after school. And reading.

Connecting with people from work I haven’t seen in a long time.

During the Day: Energy Checklist
◊ I got enough sleep last night. Yes, although I had trouble falling asleep.
◊ I energized with my morning stretch (detailed in book). Done
◊ I ate breakfast. Done.
◊ I drank eight glasses of water. I think I have about 10 ounces to go. I did make sure I had water with me at school
◊ I got outside for some fresh air and sunshine. Yes, while I was walking around the running track.
◊ I did my afternoon Energy Shot stretch (detailed in book). Done!
◊ If I caught myself slouching or slumping, I corrected my posture. Remembered as I typed this.
◊ If I caught myself in a negative thought, I turned it positive. Yes for the most part.
◊ I connected with someone. Yes, lots of people at school. I’ll be more specific when I’m not overwhelmed by all the people I’m seeing again.
◊ I did something fun or relaxing, just for me. I walked, and I’m going to read later.
◊ I worked out for thirty minutes or more. Yes, it was a full thirty minutes that I was outside walking.
◊ I only went on the internet from six to eight PM: For the most part yes. I have to be on a computer at school but I was doing work things.
◊ I did my bedtime stretch (detailed in book.) To be done this evening about ten p.m.

 Yes

 Just getting started with school felt good.

I’m not used to a full day of people yet!
