This will be a quick blog post because a new school year starts tomorrow where I work, and I spent several hours just now working on my project that involves listing addresses/workplaces since age 18. Here is a brief report from today!
Today, Denise talked about using all the tools in my “energy kit” to stay positive. I think I did a pretty good job today. My favorite “tool” so far that she has given is definitely to quit trying to control what others think of me or wonder what they are thinking about me. It brings negative energy and it is exhausting!
Today, Denise said to have a low-fat waffle for breakfast, with a mixture of cottage cheese, vanilla, and cinnamon on top, along with some blueberries. (I added some maple syrup.) I thought it might be gross but it was actually good! For the afternoon she said to make sure I was drinking enough water and to eat either a half of an avocado with a corn tortilla, or some more blueberries; I ate more blueberries. They are good and they have a longer shelf life than some other berries like strawberries, I’ve noticed.
For the evening she said to jam out on my i-pod; I haven’t done that yet but I will when I’m done with this blog.
All in all, a good day, feeling relaxed and ready for the school year to begin. I think I’m ready to just get going with it all ready!

During the Day: Energy Checklist
◊ I got enough sleep last night. Yes, although I had trouble falling asleep.
◊ I energized with my morning stretch (detailed in book). Done
◊ I ate breakfast. Done. Yummy!
◊ I drank eight glasses of water. I think I have about 14 ounces to go. I think this will be easier once school starts and I just always have it on my desk.
◊ I got outside for some fresh air and sunshine. Yes, while I was walking around the running track.
◊ I did my afternoon Energy Shot stretch (detailed in book). I will do this while listening to some music as prescribed by Denise.
◊ If I caught myself slouching or slumping, I corrected my posture. Remembered as I typed this. Will try and remember at school tomorrow.
◊ If I caught myself in a negative thought, I turned it positive. Yes for the most part.
◊ I connected with someone. The neighbors did indeed move in, and we did serve them pizza. And loaned them our spare bed (brought it to their house).
◊ I did something fun or relaxing, just for me. I will read before bed.
◊ I worked out for thirty minutes or more. Hmm, probably twenty minutes on the track and also cleaned around the house? Today this is a stretch.
◊ I only went on the internet from six to eight PM: Was working on a project but didn’t mindlessly surf the net too much today.
◊ I did my bedtime stretch (detailed in book.) To be done this evening about ten p.m.
Before Bed: Evening Energy Questions
◊ Did I live the promises of my Morning Energy Questions? Yes
◊ What fired me up today, and why? Well, I did get started on the “where have I been since age 18” project, which, when you were traveling about two years of that time, and living in five different states, and did temp work sometimes and had real jobs sometimes… it’s challenging.
◊ What tired me out today, and why? I just couldn’t sleep last night, so I woke up tired. But still, it was nice waking up to a clean room with my clothes laid out.
