This blog is an online diary for myself, in order to consistently build healthy habits into my day.
As noted else-where on this blog, I will rely extensively on Denise Austin’s book titled “Get Energy! Empower your Body, Love your Life” in order to cultivate these habits. Each blog-post will be an entry for that day that details the way I incorporated Denise’s tips and tricks into my every-day life. In chapter 11 of her book, she outlines a fourteen-day plan for jump-starting energy and developing positive daily habits. The first fourteen blog entries on this site will follow that plan; after which time I will continue blogging each day using the “Today’s Personal Energy Report” she provides, along with detailing how I used other ideas from the book throughout my day.
The daily report I will use during the 14-day-plan and after, comes straight from her book and goes as follows. Day one begins tomorrow!

When you Wake Up: Morning Energy Questions

◊ I got outside for some fresh air and sunshine.
◊ I did my afternoon Energy Shot stretch (detailed in book).
◊ If I caught myself slouching or slumping, I corrected my posture.
◊ If I caught myself in a negative thought, I turned it positive.
◊ I connected with someone.
◊ I did something fun or relaxing, just for me.
◊ I worked out for thirty minutes or more.
